    @biodynamictomato
    I have to say that’s one large tomato plant!

    What staking system did you use to grow this plant so large?

  12. biodynamictomato says:

    @theroilsoil – If you click on the link in the sidebar, the link will take you to a video where I get more specific on what I mean by “garbage”. Thank you for your comment!

  13. theroilsoil says:

    You can grow many indeterminate tomato varieties this large, it just takes well amended soil, even watering and good lighting.

    When you tell people to “build a hill of garbage”, you’ll need to be specific what you term “Garbage”.

    Paper (non-laminated), coffee grounds, tea bags, vegetable trimmings/pealings, hair, leaves, grass . . . all of these are the kind of “Garbage” you want.

  14. biodynamictomato says:

    @uneekflower: This IS a cherry tomato plant grown from a BIODYNAMIC cherry tomato seed. It was THIS you saw in the farmers almanac (I have the exact same almanac), not a tomato tree.

  15. biodynamictomato says:

    @Zoey: Never compost ANYTHING from a human being.

  16. biodynamictomato says:

    @takadi: Yes this is an indeterminate. This tomato plant will grow until the first frost. To learn more about this special biodynamic seed strain, go to rotheraine . com and read ” A Tale of Two Tomatoes “

    Hell no.. use a blender on your scraps .
    the earth worms will love you.
    You always have to keep adding stuff.
    There is no end to it.. Grow comfrey in the area and use the leaves too. That is super stuff.

  19. biodynamictomato says:

    Table scrapes, manure, and animal remains. Please do not use potatoes or onions as these can begin to grow in your compost piles!

    Watch the video to see what materials I use.

  21. biodynamictomato says:

    Biodynamic field spray. Also known as Biodynamic field and garden spray.

  22. biodynamictomato says:

    You should never use human manure.

  23. biodynamictomato says:

    If the oils and fats are layered you can. 6 inches of manure between oils and fats. Only for THIS specific tomato strain.

  24. biodynamictomato says:

    @alperus: you are correct.

  25. biodynamictomato says:

    Yes. Made up of table scraps and manure. Excluding potatoes or onions, which can begin to grow in the soil.
