    I’m sorry but the plant you described is NOT cardamom. Eletarria cardamomum bears its fruit close to the ground on low panicles, emerging from the junction of the rhyzome and the base of the stems. The flowers are white with purple colourations.

    It seems easier to grow cardamom that I thought. I thought that higher temperatures were required, but of course, I don’t know how warm it is there…

    But I got to try that. I really like the spice, especially in TchaƩ tea.
