Pesticides are not the “Natural Way”

HELP! Our neighbor values a green lawn more than a life! They constantly have their yard, trees and shrubs sprayed with pesticides. Pesticides that are on the epa’s list of endocrine disruptors. We have a pesticide free yard and organic garden. Each month, we have to cover my garden and fruit trees to keep the lawn care company from over-spraying onto our garden and fruit trees. This last time, I caught them spraying full blast and it coming through the fence that clearly divides our property lines. I stopped them just short of spraying my honeysuckle vines that cascade over the fence. They know I am pesticide sensitive and am trying to keep the spray off my yard. The lawn care company boasts they have the right to do this!!! And that they can spray anything that is on the neighbor’s side of the fence and that our concern for over-spray is not substantiated. They are saying I do not have the right to a pesticide-free yard!!! We must go cry out to our city, county, say and federal governments to get over-spraying to be illegal. Each homeowner in USA should have the right to NOT HAVE HARMFUL CHEMICALS SPRAYED ON THEIR LAWNS VIA THEIR NEIGHBOR! Help me begin this fight! After all, the tomato you pick from your organic garden might have the pesticides from your neighbor on it. Do you feel innocuous feeding it to your children? Contact the Governor of Colorado, Bill Ritter and tell him Bev Veals wants Residential Pesticide Use Guidelines! I am a 9-year, two-time, advanced

@wildricky40 Clearly you embody the teachings of Christ…especially his doctrine of calling people fools and eschewing them to get a life…you set a good example for your Mormon community. Mazeltav!

Chlordane and dursban along with other endocrine inhibiting pesticides are now outlawed for good reason. There are other products with much less risk ,like pyrethroids currently being used.
I understand your point . Best wishes for your full recovery.

  7. Runningbareco says:

Yes, and oxidative stress can be caused by airways disease which can be triggered by things such as pesticides. Chemical – Chlordane. Lots of it. Snarled my nose at it cause I hated how it smelled as a child. Not responding to treatment, but thanks for the well wishes. Tired of costs and side effects. Dying slowly and watching them watch me is hard. Don’t want my children to be guinea pigs for ANY chemical in ANY amount for ANY reason. baaaaa

Unoxygenated cells cause p53 gene to mutate. Hpv also mutates the gene in healthy adults. Radiation also.
Cholinesterase inhibing pesticides arent normally used, the endocrine disrupting kind. The pesticides didnt truly mimic estrogen by mode-of-action.
Well at least if your cancer is estrogen positive ,it should have responded well to treatment and hopefully your recovered.

  9. Runningbareco says:

I know because the pesticide he used causes p-53 gene mutations and my cancer has a high S-Phase from the p-53 mutation. And I had breast cancer at age 24, but no periods for years. My cancer was estrogen positive. Impossible unless I was taking high doses of estrogen for years. The chemicals used mimic estrogen. And I do not blame my dad. i blame the pesticide and the chemical company (also a cancer drug company) for selling a product that had such a lasting impact on a child.

Never said well all die.Now that you brought it up, a family friend had died from west nile. Draining standing water didnt work unless we all live in arizona desert. How do you corelate your dads pesticide use to your cancer? I didnt people who think different from me nuts. Just you and your sheep. I am sorry for your cancer as my mom had cancer, but blaming others for your misfortune is unproductive and truly breeds hostility and fear.

  11. Runningbareco says:

And your agenda promotes more fear. Spray or we’ll all die! That’s smart. I’ve had West Nile and cancer. The cancer from my dad using pesticides is far worse than the West Nile. Draining standing water will keep mosquitoes away better than the hit and miss spraying. And real mature calling people who think different than you “nuts”. It’s my soapbox. If you don’t like it, walk the hell away. I’m entitled.

  12. tritonvee10 says:

The real USA at work. Come off your soapbox. Keep it off your property is fine. But I like not having encephilitis from mosquitos. I want my property sprayed. What proof do you have that pesticides wont impact your health. I had the flu last winter and I dont blame the man who sprays my lawn. Your promoting panic and fear to those who buy into your agenda. Real mature to think someone tresspasses on your property because of a rhetorical statement.

  13. Runningbareco says:

Shows how mature your are that everything turns into a name calling session. I simply implied trespassing because you claim to know what’s under my sink. There’s growing opposition against pesticides. The health of those effected don’t owe the spray applicators their jobs. Don’t tread on me… goes for spraying your pesticides my way, too. We don’t want that crap. Keep it off my property. Simple. What’s scitzo about that? That’s the REAL USA at work.

  14. tritonvee10 says:

Wow your a paranoid scitzo. WTF does tresspassing have to do with this? I think you need to get a grip and be honest with yourself.

  15. Runningbareco says:

Very smart to drive up in your Triton V-10 today R.B…. and how do you know what’s under my sink??? Been in my house? That constitutes a 2nd violation of trespassing.

  16. Runningbareco says:

And Illinois has laws regarding use of pesticides in hospitals.

  17. Runningbareco says:

Not true. Maryland’s hospitals and nursing homes are going pesticide-free. Schools all over the U.S. are going pesticide-free. Rachel Carson, in 1962, warned the world of dangers about pesticides in Silent Spring. There are lots of lawns that don’t have tons of pesticides dumped on them and they look as good as the spray-monger’s.

  18. tritonvee10 says:

Gimme a break you holy roller! You wanna go back to the way it was? Live with the black plague and locusts?

  19. tritonvee10 says:

You pesticide nuts are really funny. The products under your sink are far worse than the products hes spraying. The products sprayed are diluted with hundreds of gallons of water. Pesticide free is impossible. Every hospital, resturant, mall etc, uses pesticides. Without them we would be living with rats and diseases that will surely do more harm.

How are YOU going to deal with YOUR cancer? How are YOU set for health insurance, pain, loss of your job? Bev has STAGE FOUR cancer………DEATH! She is very upset because she is dying! How insensitive are you? What happened to you that you write the bilge that you do? FOR SHAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  21. challah7 says:

Until a life threatening health issue affects us individually or someone we love, we cannot grasp just how bad these pesticides are. They kill our beloved best friends (pets) left unaware and unprotected in our yards. They cause cancer in our children. CALL GOVERNOR RITTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE ARE ALL NEXT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  22. AngelfortheEarth says:

Have we not learned that our ecosystem is only respondent to survival if all aspects of the system are present? Man just by himself can not sustain the planet. Through the sin of Adam and Eve, God gave man the knowledge to care for this world. When we destroy the balance of this planet through laziness and irresponsible tactics, such as with pesticides, we fail God. For the love of money, man continues to fall. God does not shed His Grace on such destruction. The Devil smiles. And Jesus weeps.

  23. keysopen says:

We are registered as pesticide sensitive. I explained that in the video. My “nut bag” wife would stay inside if the company’s sprayers would correctly do their job. She would not have a problem with the spray if the first sprayer continued to spray the properties. She would also not have a problem if this company wasn’t threatening her hard work every 3 or 4 weeks.
I find it interesting “MThorp1″ that you had a profile on the morning of 9-19-08 and now it is cancelled. Hiding from something?

  24. pinkcandycane1999 says:

I thought this was America!!! You know, NRA… PTA… FFA… Pesticide-free… If someone doesn’t want chemicals on their yard, that’s their right. Right??? You go, sister!!! Palin would be proud to have you in her corner!!!

  25. MThorp1 says:

maybe you should register as cheical sensitive! maybe, you should lock your nut bag of a wife up when they are around.

No where in this video does it show how your wife comes out, tells the technicians to ” get cANCER AND HAVE THEIR BALLS FALL OFF” . Or does it show how she comes out flashes the techs with her chest. Also no where does it show her running around in the yard screaming how they are giving her cancer.
Perhaps, your wife, should stay the hell inside when they are around.
