PLease help me–first of all the top is very difficult to remove and also –the comes apart from the filter portion –we are not happy with this

as mentioned – this won’t eliminate the fruit fly problem, but it is easy to use and empty. We generally empty it often enough that smell isn’t a problem. The fruit flys are so annoying that it is kept outside the kitchen door until we get a killing frost.

The box and description said two filters included. I bought this item because of the great reviews, and the box says “two filters included”, but mine did not come with any. VERY dissappointed.

I bought this for my husband who is a cook & wants to start a garden this summer. He loves this! It looks good on the counter & it has handle so you can store it under your sink if there’s no room on the counter. It is bigger than I thought it would be, but it looks nice. No smell at all-the longest we’ve gone before emptying is a week. It was shipped out pretty quickly.

The Norpro stainless steel compost keeper is amazing. Instead of having numerous messy bags of compost on the kitchen counter, now we just have the one container. Added bonus: it doesn’t even look bad on the counter! It holds a good amount of compost and it’s so easy to take it down to our main compost container. Additionally, the charcoal works really at keeping odors manageable. Overall we are thrilled with this product!
